Microneedling

How to take care of your skin after microneedling

For BEST results after microneedling,
please read and follow these instructions carefully.

When: Rinse your skin with lukewarm water once an hour for 3 hours post-microneedling. Then, just once in the evening and in the morning.

How: Cleanse with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser.

Please make sure everything that touches your skin is clean: hands, towels, pillowcases, lovers, etc.

1. After cleansing, apply a thin layer of single-ingredient oil on damp skin (preferably squalane oil) to seal the water into your skin.

2. Follow with a thin layer of a protective ointment.

3. If you go outside days 1-4 post treatment, you MUST wear SPF 50 and reapply every 2 hours. You MUST also wear a hat or cover your face from sun exposure.

What To Apply to your skin

1. You may resume cleansing your skin as you normally do.

2. You can resume using your serums/moisturizers provided they do not have active ingredients such as vitamin C, retinoids or chemical exfoliants.

3. If your skin still feels sensitive, continue using the squalane oil and a little bit of ointment when you feel you need it.

4. When you feel that your skin is feeling good (no longer sensitive) AND that your skin is no longer flaking (if it did) - normally around day 5-7,  you can use the enzyme peel provided in your kit to remove the last of the flaking skin.

After cleansing in the evening, apply the enzyme gel and gently massage your face with it for 1-3 minutes. You will eventually feel the dead skin cells “balling up”. Rinse and resume your skincare routine.

You can use ALL your skincare like you normally do.

Remember to wear your SPF every day and enjoy that post-microneedling glow!
